Southgate desires men to engage men to live like Christ. Throughout the year, men have the opportunity to connect with one another and deepen relationships beyond casual acquaintances at church.
Events hosted by the men’s ministry team may include:
- Bible reading
- Breakfast & lunch gatherings
- Men's Retreat at Scioto Hills
- Work & service projects
- Leisure events
Bible Reading
Getting into reading the Bible regularly can feel like a large undertaking. We currently offer two ways to help you along this road:
1. Challenge you to read through your Bible in a year. We will check in monthly to see how you are progressing. You are welcome to read through it at your own pace throughout the year and follow whatever plan you want. If you aren't certain what plan you want to do, click here for some recommendations.
2. Read the Bible aloud with a group of Men. On Monday's at noon we have a group of Men who meet online via Zoom to read through the Bible for an hour. It is over the lunch hour and we rotate readers. We wrap up at 5 'til so people joining from work have a few moments to return to work.
Leisure Events
- Summertime Cincinnati Reds ballgame - Typically end of June or July for a home game.
- Golf scramble
- Disc golf
- Corn hole tournament
