Junior and Senior High Sunday School

Want to dig a little deeper? That’s what we do in our middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) Sunday school classes. Our desire for both classes is to lead students away from “flannelgraph Jesus” and into an encounter with the majestic Son of God. Students are challenged to know God in a deeper way, own their faith, and then make God known to others.

Youth Group

Our youth group meets Wednesday evenings 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It’s a high-energy experience for middle school and high school students. Students are challenged to evaluate their relationship with Jesus through the lens of Scripture and are then encouraged to boldly live out their faith in Christ. We have a great time of praise and worship mixed together with games and discussion groups. Come hang out with us!

D-Groups are small groups for high school students only. They are gender-specific groups that meet on Sunday mornings and at various times throughout the week (depending on the group) and are aimed at helping students grow in their relationship with God through Bible Study and intentional service. Our goal is to help students learn the discipline of studying God’s Word and get to a place where they are able to glean truth from God’s Word on their own. Each D-Group is led by a youth leader who builds relationships, mentors, and challenges these high school students.

Special Events

Our youth group at Southgate is very active. We schedule several big events each year like a Fall Retreat, Winter Event, Missions Trip, and Wilderness Trip. Those big events are complemented with smaller activities like laser tag, concerts, pool parties, disco bowling, a Christmas party, and more. There is always something going on in our youth ministry! Be sure to check the calendar for upcoming events.
