On mission @ 40!
As we celebrate God's faithfulness to us over these 40 years, we are recommitting to living on mission with Jesus Christ. Our city and world need to know the Good News of the Gospel, shared through His people as we engage in community. We are striving to be intentional in modeling His example and sharing His hope so that we do not become complacent.
Our current sermon series is Control Freak Detox. As sinful people, we all crave the false illusion that we are in control rather than God. In the midst of our wrestling, He yearns for us to be dependent upon His provision and sovereignty. God works in the lives of Christ followers to bring us, not unlike the biblical example of Jacob, to realize and revel in our lack of control and in God’s secure control.
